Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Skydrift is a relaxing bird-flying game, available as a browser game (the "Web version") and as an Android app (the "Mobile version"). This page explains what data each version collects and why. If you only care about the Android app, see the Mobile version (Android app) section — it collects far less than the web version.

Web version (browser game)

The web version is a multiplayer social experience — you may encounter other real players flying nearby, and can opt in to chat with them.

We do not require account creation to play the web version, and we do not sell any collected data.

Mobile version (Android app)

The Android app is a single-player, offline-first experience — there is no chat, no multiplayer, and no networking required to play. It collects only:

The Android app does not collect your name, contact details, or precise location, and has no chat or user-generated content of any kind. A nickname field exists purely for cosmetic, on-device personalization (e.g. "Alex, arriving at Palm Cay") — it is stored only in the app's local storage on your device and never transmitted anywhere.

Children's privacy

Skydrift, particularly the mobile version, is designed to be safe for younger players. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the anonymous technical/usage data described above, and advertising identifiers are disabled on the mobile app for this reason. The web version's chat is not intended for use by children without a guardian's supervision, given it connects you with other real people online.

Data retention & deletion

Web version chat messages and presence data are ephemeral and not retained after a session ends. Crash/analytics data collected by Firebase and Microsoft Clarity is retained per those providers' standard retention policies. To request deletion of any data associated with you, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
